Having retired from the U.S. Army in 2009 after more than three decades of service to his country, Mr. Williams has distinguished himself as a senior management professional and change agent. Since 2017, he has been working in property management for JDC Property Management Enterprise. Previously, Mr. Williams served in the role of enterprise strategy and plans and concepts/operations analyst for the Army Forces Command in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, between 2014 and 2016.
During his notable tenure in the military, Mr. Williams held various roles, including as a platoon leader for the 154th Aviation Battalion, executive officer and unit maintenance test pilot for the 8th Battalion, 158th Aviation Regiment, commanding general of the U.S. Army Reserve Command, and program manager at Department of the Army headquarters.
Giving back to the less fortunate, Mr. Williams volunteers his time with Hosea Feed the Hungry in Atlanta. He also donates food and is involved in blanket drives and coat drives throughout his community during the winter months through the Georgia Military Retiree Club. Mr. Williams is notably a Prince Hall Mason 32nd Degree and a member of the Georgia Military Retiree Association where he served as the president between 2009 and 2012.
Mr. Williams earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication and theater arts at the University of Richmond, followed by a Master of Arts in human resource management at Webster University in 1999. He is also a graduate of the Senior Service College Fellowship at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Furthermore, Mr. Williams received credentials from Clayton State University and DeVry Institute in program and project management in 2011 and 2013, respectively.
In honor of his service in the U.S. Army, Mr. Williams received a Legion of Merit, a U.S. Army Staff Badge, a National Defense Service Medal, an Aviator Badge, as well as several Meritorious Service Medals, Commendation Medals, Achievement Medals, and Reserve Component Achievement Medals. However, his most notable accomplishment was when he received his wings in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot. In 2000, Mr. Williams was also elected into the University of Richmond Athletic Hall of Fame for track and football. As a collegiate track runner, he was recognized as one of the nation's top sprinters, completing the 40-yard dash in just 4.3 seconds and the 100-yard dash in 9.4 seconds. As a collegiate football player, his talents were utilized as both a wide receiver and running back.
Attributing his successful career in the military to his supportive family, Mr. Williams notes that he was deployed many times, leaving the care of his two children to his beloved wife.
