VALLEY STREAM, NY, December 20, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kailee S. Finn (pronounced ky-Lee) has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Well regarded for her expertise in the field, Ms. Finn specializes in portraiture, as well as social and political artwork. She was born July 2, 2002 on Long Island, NY. She has found much success as an independent commissioned illustrator and an assistant muralist at the Saint-Cyr Art Studio and Authentic Heartwork in New York since 2021. Ms. Finn's work is primarily centered around the black experience and how they navigate through their pain. Her models are people known to her and she finds it a good way to incorporate her community into her artwork mainly utilizing chalk pastels.
She has been creating social/political artwork since she was a junior in high school and has continued that passion into her college years. She pulls most of her inspiration from her faith in God and religion (Christianity).
In her career related endeavors, Ms. Finn has contributed to the 51st issue of the Artist Portfolio Magazine in 2022, in addition to the Art History Insider, which is a newsletter for the History of Art Department at the Fashion Institute of Technology from which she earned an Associate of Arts in illustration in 2022 and will be further pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in illustration.
Noted for her achievements in the field, Ms. Finn has received multiple awards, including the Award of Merit at the Grey Cube Gallery's Faces Art Show in 2022, the Achievement in Social Commentary Award from Long Island's Best Young Artist Exhibition in 2020 and an Award of Excellence from the Advanced Placement Exhibition in 2019 while she was in high school.
In her freshman year of college she was featured in Trapxart's August 2021 edition Volume 17, and in her sophomore year, she was featured in the Fashion Institute of Technology's Black Print Exhibition with her piece "Queen Damali."
Among her professional accomplishments, she is most proud of winning a congressional art contest in Washington DC and having her artwork hung in the senate tunnel for a year, and of having sold her work to high level clientele such as Spike Lee. She has started creating religious art and that is where she believes her career is headed.
