Leveraging more than four decades of excellence in radio broadcasting, Ms. Goldman has earned distinction as the leader of her own broadcasting company. In this capacity, she is the owner of Jeri Lyn Broadcasting, Inc. dba KHTS Radio. Since 1989, she has focused her efforts on overseeing the daily operations of the company, including managing the staff and bookkeeping. The largest part of her business has transitioned to website building and search engine optimization to improve their connections with clients. She recently gave a press conference for drug rehabilitation as 23 youths in the area died of overdoses due to fentanyl addiction.
Outside of her primary career efforts, Ms. Goldman serves as a board member for the Sebastian Velona Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises funds for research and gene therapy for CLN8-Batten Disease. She is also a founding member of the Santa Clarita Coalition, an organization that provides relief to those who suffered as a result of local disasters, and has served as an elected member of the Sulphur Spring's Elementary School Districts Site Council. Additionally, she was a member of the Silver Spur Committee of the College of the Canyons Foundation and a board member for the Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. She is also one of the creators of the Providences Art of Healing Campaign, which involves the entire Santa Clarita elementary public school system to provide better education and resources to the students.
Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Goldman is proud to have been inducted into the Hall of Fame of the College of the Canyons. She was also honored with the Mother Gamelin Award by the Providence Holy Cross Medical Center and was named the 2005 Woman of the Year in Santa Clarita Valley. Her business was also recognized as the California Small Business of the Year in 2006 and she was named Woman of the Year by the California State Assembly.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Goldman began her career as an assistant with KZLA in 1980 and became the director of finance and human resources for Westwood One Radio Network in 1986. She subsequently worked as a general manager for Saddleback's KBET in 1995 and was a controller for Gold Coast and High Desert Broadcasting. Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Goldman completed college coursework.
Within the coming years, Ms. Goldman intends to retire and relocate to Utah to enjoy skiing, biking and hiking on a daily basis. However, she fully plans to remain in contact with her community and to oversee the radio station. She has an enduring passion for her profession as well as for serving her fellows the best she can.
