Among them, M and M Limousine Leasing Ltd. has proven itself invaluable to functions such as weddings, funerals, proms, bachelor and bachelorette parties, corporate events and more.

A family pursuit, Mr. Socha's wife, Julie, has been his partner in business since first founding the company. She serves as a secretary and conducts all administrative tasks, such as handling paperwork, answering the phone and reconfirming appointments, along with ensuring vehicles are in tip-top condition and driving the limousines. The couple became inspired to spearhead their business after utilizing a limousine service upon their return from a trip. Intrigued by the field, they set their sights on opening their own limousine service rather than their other two ideas, a hot dog stand or video store.

Since their initial brainstorming, M and M Limousine Leasing Ltd. has gone on to be voted number one by their clients through the Southtown Economist Newspaper for over 20 consecutive years. Attributing the company's success to building a trustworthy reputation, Mr. Socha also cites the support and mentorship of his father, Bernard Socha, who excelled as a teacher for 40 years.

While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Socha is most proud that a great deal of his company's advertising has succeeded through personal referrals and testimonials. Before the advent of the internet, the company appeared in the yellow pages of three telephone books in the area. To wit, Mr. Socha and his wife have repeat customers who remain loyal to their company due to their dependability, including Silver Cross Hospital, among many others.

In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Socha aligns himself with the National Limousine Association and enjoys learning about antique cars in his spare time. He has owned and repaired cars such as a 1951 Dodge, a 1965 Olds Cutlass 442, a 1967 Buick Electra Convertible, a 1969 Buick Electra and a 1971 Buick Electra. In the early days of his professional career, he graduated from St. Gregory High School in 1969 and subsequently attended school for mechanics in 1972, which set the foundation for his future in the automobile industry.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Socha intends to experience the continued success of his career and eventually ease into a well-deserved retirement, at which time he and his wife may sell M and M Limousine Leasing Ltd. to an individual who is willing to carry on their legacy. Married to his wife since 1977, they recently celebrated 45 years of marriage. Together, they have two children, Mark and Michael, and are the doting grandparents of two granddaughters, Makenna and Morgan. Born in the Back of the Yards neighborhood of Chicago, Mr. Socha currently resides in Frankfort, Illinois.
