By the end of 2023, she plans to fully develop and launch her personal development company, Athena Tribe.
CONCORD, NC, January 05, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Candice L. Shepard has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Drawing on more than two decades of legal experience, Ms. Shepard is recognized for her expertise as chief executive officer and managing partner of Shepard Law, PLLC, where she is deeply knowledgeable about real estate. Previously, she served as an attorney at her own firm from 2011 to 2013, as managing attorney at Morris Hardwick Schneider from 2013 to 2014, and as an adjunct professor at Rowan Cabarrus Community College from 2010 to 2013. Earlier, she worked as corporate counsel for R&S Marketing Associates, LLC, and as managing attorney for the Performance Contracting Group after litigating for almost a decade.
Ms. Shepard's determined approach to life began in her childhood; she was a headstrong child who pursued excellence aggressively. She grew up in an area that lacked opportunities, but her parents and teachers encouraged her to put her skills to use as a lawyer. With that, the seed was planted, and she pursued the goal relentlessly. Ms. Shepard went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in communications from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1995, followed by a Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1999. Through her studies and her career, as well as her time in the Army National Guard, she attributes her success to her exceptional work ethic. She may not be the smartest or most talented person in a room, but she will always be the hardest worker.
While her career has been filled by many memorable moments, Ms. Shepard is especially proud that she was recruited for a firm that specialized in helping children; it was challenging and emotional work, but she thrived because it was exceptionally meaningful to her. Another notable achievement has been starting her own law firm, a move that was inspired after her family moved for an employment opportunity for her ex-husband. In addition, she wrote a chapter, "Not Your Daddy's Law Firm," for the book, "Success," by Jack Canfield and has since authored two more chapters in the Inspired Impact book series.
Outside of work, Ms. Shepard is founder and board president for Tribe 14:18 Ministries and a member of the Cabarrus Chamber of Commerce. Looking toward the future, she has ambitious plans to quadruple the size of Shepard Law and publish two books, one of which would expand upon her chapter in "Success." By the end of 2023, she plans to fully develop and launch her personal development company, Athena Tribe, and expects to help at least 10,000 women through the venture in the next five years.
