A real estate firm that specializes in partnering with investors, NRES primarily focuses on purchasing distressed properties for rehab and resale purposes. The success of the company has since expanded into three states, having notably purchased more than 165 homes totaling more than $28 million.
Mr. Puthuff's entrepreneurial background has included owning and operating over a dozen different companies. He recently served as the founder of Step Labs, Step Communications, in San Jose, a high-technology company that specialized in noise cancellation and elimination Bluetooth technology, between 2003 and 2009. He also served as the president and chief executive officer at SyberSay Communications in San Jose, California, from 2001 to 2003. Recognized as one of the first headset companies in the industry, Mr. Puthuff notably sold over $100 million in products. Additionally, Mr. Puthuff was the president and chief executive officer at Integrate Financial Systems Inc., a banking automation software company in Albany, New York, between 2000 and 2002. Among several other prestigious roles, Mr. Puthuff served as Vice President of Engineering for Memorex from 1976 to 1982 and worked for IBM prior to that.
As an established researcher in his field, Mr. Puthuff has secured 11 U.S. patents and has two additional patents pending. Among his notable inventions, Mr. Puthuff was responsible for designing both a frequency detector and a touchtone telephone.
Mr. Puthuff has played an integral role in the community as the chairperson of the U.S. technical advisory committee (peripheral technical advisory committee) for the U.S. Department of Commerce. He also served on the board of directors for the Junior Achievement of Santa Clara.
Mr. Puthuff received an Associate of Arts at Sacramento City College in 1960 and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering at Arizona State University in 1963. To remain abreast in his field, he was an active member of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers. Mr. Puthuff is also a member and former president of the Arizona State University chapter of Eta Kappa Nu. In recognition of his professional achievements, Mr. Puthuff was the recipient of a Nobel Prize from India, known as the Priyadarshini Award. Mr. Puthuff also served as chairman of the Americas for the success of Perestroika, a group of Americans that advised the Soviet Union on the transition to a market economy.
