Born in Halong Bay, Vietnam under Communist rule, she fled the country at the age of eleven with the parents of her best friend. Upon arriving in Hong Kong, she was separated from that family due to her status as a minor and arriving without relatives. She remained in a refugee camp for minors for a period of two years before she was sent to Los Angeles, California at the age of thirteen. Soon after she was placed in foster care. Now saddled with the difficulty of learning yet another language, aside from her native tongue of Vietnamese and later Cantonese, the English language proved to be challenging, however she eventually succeeded.
In 1996 Ms. Mitchell forayed into entrepreneurship and opened a nail salon with a friend, both maxing out their credit cards and what little savings they had. Hard work and dedication payed off and after time the credit card debts were eliminated. Some years later their success prompted them to sell the business. Utilizing her individual profits from the sale, Ms. Mitchell opened a second nail salon on her own. Again, due to her tenacity and dedication to her clients she was successful and decided to sell the second business and move. Years later she moved back to Tucson, Arizona where she started yet another business in the field of beauty, this time with a focus on eyelash extensions. Angel Lash & Brow Salon was established where she continues to work tirelessly and successfully building her clientele base.
Although the focus of her services has evolved over time, Ms. Mitchell's skill and success has earned the loyalty and accolades of established clientele, as well as new clientele who have sought out her services in order to treat themselves to the wonders of lash extensions. The new direction in business proved successful due to a new technique Ms. Mitchell devised allowing her to enhance the longevity and look of her client's lashes. Most notable among her clientele are several other lash stylists and salon owners. Word has spread and again. Ms. Mitchell finds herself in a position where she has no available openings and must expand her business yet again to accommodate the additional clientele.
Ms. Mitchell established the Angel Lash & Brow Salon LLC in Tucson, AZ, in 2018. As a trained professional, she specializes in working with clients provide them with luxurious and natural-looking eyelash extensions.
Notably, eyelash extensions are considered a cosmetic application that involves attaching individual lashes to natural eyelashes one at a time to enhance the length and or thickness of the natural eyelashes.
