In this capacity, he is the owner of Grigsby Forensics and Valuation. Since 2013, he has focused his efforts on providing business plans, valuations and forensic accounting for clients in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. He also provides services as an expert witness when necessary. Additionally, he is a valued member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council and the American Society of Appraisers, among several other professional organizations.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Grigsby began his career as a field auditor for the Internal Revenue Service in 1970 and was the co-founder of the Lorraine Cheese Company in 1973 alongside his father to produce a new gruyere cheese, which was later bought by Universal Foods. He then was a partner for Charles Grigsby and Co CPA's from 1976 to 2004. Following this time, he was a partner with Grigsby and Castro LLP from 2011 to 2013.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Grigsby earned a Bachelor of Business in accounting, auditing, tax law and management from Western Illinois University in 1970. He then studied systematic approach to mediation strategies from Pepperdine Law in 2014 and earned a master's degree in legal studies from Purdue University Global in 2018. Well-qualified in his field, he holds numerous professional certifications, including as an information technology professional, valuation analyst, certified public accountant and master analyst in financial forensics.
Within the coming years, Mr. Grigsby intends to enroll in New York University for an additional valuation credential from the New York Graduate School. His goal is to achieve a deep and well-rounded understanding of his profession through all the training available, maintaining his high level of capability in accounting, valuation and forensics.
