His role at Evergreen involves serving vulnerable populations, including the elderly, across seven States, offering executive, clinical, emotional and physical supports. Dr. Queen proudly collaborates with Evergreen's day and residential programs, independent living and family-based supports, vocational training, Abundant Health Care, and HEAVENDROPt (a social enterprise outreach of Evergreen Life Services with a focus on supporting and creating opportunities for U.S. veterans with disabilities).
A deep academic background is foundational to Dr. Queen's leadership and mentoring roles. He holds a Juris Doctor from Taft Law School and a Doctor of Ministry in Counseling, which he earned from Columbia Theological Seminary. He also holds a Master of Education in Community Counseling from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Administration from Keiser University-Ft. Lauderdale. To be a better champion of those with disabilities, Dr. Queen also completed relevant industry credentials, including the Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider designation (LPC-MHSP) and TN-State Licensed Approved Supervisor, is board certified by the National Board of: Certified Counselors in both the diagnosis and treatment of addiction and gerontological counseling, as well as completing national board certification by the Center for Credentialing and Education in TeleMental Health and approved clinical supervision.
Dr. Queen attributes his success to successfully navigating personal crises and relying on positivity and productivity to realize his life missions. Looking to the future, Dr. Queen aims to share his expertise in complex post-traumatic stress disorders by researching, writing and publishing a book. Ultimately, he hopes to advance relevant causes and reach a broader audience over time.
