Leveraging more than a decade of excellence in Human Resources/Labor Relations, Dr. McIntosh-Evans has earned distinction as a leader in the field of work, primarily in public K-12 and higher education. Dr. McIntosh-Evans currently holds the title of Employee Relations Manager at New Jersey City University (NJCU). Since 2022, she has focused her efforts on conducting fact-finding investigations regarding various complaints from employees and management. Moreover, she devotes considerable time coaching managers on improving their people management competencies and documenting and handling employee disciplinary issues.
Prior to her role at NJCU, Dr. McIntosh-Evans began her labor relations career as a Labor Relations Specialist with the Newark Board of Education (NBOE) in 2009 before resigning in 2022 to advance her career in higher education. Her dedication and hard work earned her several promotions at NBOE. She was promoted to Senior Labor Relations Specialist in 2013 and Senior Manager of Labor Relations in 2016. She also served as the Interim Executive Director of Labor Relations from 2017-2018.
Before pursuing her doctorate, Dr. McIntosh-Evans earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Liberty University in 2009. She then attained a master's degree in management and leadership from the same institution in 2010. She subsequently gained a Doctor of Business Administration degree in leadership from Capella University in 2022.
Among her professional accomplishments, she received an advanced leadership certification from the National Society of Leadership Success (NSLS) in 2022. Dr. McIntosh-Evans holds a Certification of Eligibility as a School Business Administrator from the New Jersey Department of Education and a Public Sector Certification from Rutgers University. Given her outstanding academic distinction (perfect 4.0 GPA) and leadership, Dr. McIntosh-Evans was inducted into the nation's largest leadership honor society, NSLS, and is also a Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society member.
Well-qualified in her field, Dr. McIntosh-Evans intends to rise further in her career to a role as the Executive Director or Vice President of Human Resources.
