Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Druse earned a Master of Science in Nursing and a Master of Healthcare Administration. He then attained a Doctor of Philosophy. In his current capacity, he is the owner of Druse Consulting Firm, LLC in collaboration with Quality Training Solutions Corporation. He is a staunch advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion within the healthcare community. His roles have included various levels of healthcare leadership and administration, serving as faculty at Pace University, Utica University, and Syracuse University's Falk College. His primary role is as the Research Interest Group Coordinator for the TriService Nursing Research Program, a congressionally funded Nursing Research program at Uniformed Services University.
Outside of his primary career efforts, Dr. Druse has been a staunch advocate for equitable access to healthcare among marginalized populations. He has been profiled by the Human Rights Campaign as a diverse leader who served at New York City Health+Hospitals. He serves as a member of the Angels Circle for Broadway Care Equity Fights Aids and on the planning committee for Broadway Backwards. In his local community, Dr. Druse is the chair of the Patient and Family Advisory Council for the Mohawk Valley Health System. He maintains active membership in the Emergency Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, Medical-Surgical Nurses Organization, and the New York Organization for Nursing Leadership, serving on the education and practice council.
Within the coming years, Dr. Druse intends to continue mentoring his students through healthcare and nursing programs, working to address gaps seen between findings of scientific research and implementation in professional practice, facilitating translational research. He will continue to be a staunch advocate for the underserved and marginalized populations. His next steps are to roll out Trauma Informed Healthcare Leadership training to better support healthcare leaders in leveraging their emotional intelligence while utilizing situational awareness to address challenges of burnout and exiting of the healthcare profession.
