TULSA, OK, January 19, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David C Phillips III has been included in Marquis Who's Who. After 14 years of work in the field of biomedical research, Mr. Phillips pursued a career in law. For almost 30 years, he excelled as a defense attorney in private practice and with Oklahoma Public Defenders offices. Upon retirement in 2016, Mr. Phillips founded the 1st Step Male Diversion Program, Inc, which offers an alternative to incarceration for non-violent male felony offenders 18-30 years of age in Tulsa County. He presently excels as executive director of the organization.
In addition, Mr. Phillips contributes to his community as an Administrative Council Member of Centenary United Methodist Church. He is a member of the local Rotary Club and the local Rotary Singing Group.
Mr. Phillips earned a bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1974. He received a JD from the University of Oklahoma's College of Law in 1990.
While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Phillips takes the most pride in seeing the people he has helped overcome their problems and improve their lives. He credits the dedicated employees at the 1st Step Male Diversion Program, Inc with empowering program beneficiaries to succeed in this regard. Currently Mr. Phillips is in the initial stages of building a 1st Step campus to centralize all 1st Step operations.
