Mr. Allen having nearly 30 years of distinction to his credit. Vincent, has found success as a leader in a multiplicity of roles and verticals. Having attained global recognition as an AV and broadcast media subject matter expert, Mr. Allen founded VAAV Industries in 2021. Focusing his efforts on reimaging the AV and Broadcast media space. In 2020 Mr. Allen accepted an appointment to Ithaca College's cyber security advisory board, where he is the only broadcast or AV technologist to ever sit on that board. Vincent has been a leader and innovator in the media space since he began his career in 1995.
Mr. Allen began his career in Fairhope, AL as a lighting and sound technician with The Hangout in 1995. Transitioning to Juneau, AK, he continued his dynamic work in production in media, building JDTV into a statewide and regionally recognized news organization. In 2001 Mr. Allen joined both the University of Alaska and KATH-TV, where his work was recognized for a NASA RID grant (implementation of wireless technology/UAS) and the Alaska Broadcasters Association's Goldie Award (KATH-TV). Moving back to New York in 2003, Mr. Allen's theatrical work was nominated for a Spotlight on Theatre Award in 2004.
Mr. Allen has completed coursework in communications, media and arts production and technology from the University of Alaska Southeast. He subsequently earned a diploma in Christian ministry studies from Christian Heritage College in Australia in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis in academic study of theology and Christian ministry from Alliance University 2012. Mr. Allen has pursued graduate coursework in Jewish and Judaic studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel. He then attended Southern New Hampshire University to study public and applied history.
Mr. Allen has served as a mentor and subject matter expert contributing content for CXOTech Magazine, Stringers Hub, American Movie Company, and a multitude of podcast and streaming outlets. Mr. Allen designed and implemented virtual broadcasting and streaming systems for Compliance Law Institute's annual conference at Fordham University. He has also lent his expertise as the director of Columbia Law's annual graduation celebration production and technical directed Greece's official broadcast of their bicentennial celebration.
In recognition of his excellent work, Mr. Allen was featured in USA Today along with his team for their work with WeightWatchers. He was also nominated for The Webby Awards in three categories and was awarded in two special achievement categories. He has been honored multiple times with a Goldie Award from the Alaska Broadcasters Association and nominated for a Spotlight Theater Award. He strives to operate with character and integrity.
Within the coming years, Mr. Allen intends to build VAAV Industries into a global leader in AV, Broadcast and technology innovation–leading from a place of diversity and inclusion engineer emeritus whom people consult for his knowledge and expertise. His desire to teach, lead and speak stemmed from his childhood passion for theater, sports, photography and storytelling. His goal is to help guide the next generation of artists and technologists to make the world a better place through their crafts while leaving a positive legacy for his daughter through his business. He also plans to spend more time focusing on volunteering for charitable causes in his community.
