Outside of work, Mr. McMillan is a skilled pianist. He began playing the instrument in his childhood and proved to be a piano prodigy in his teenage years; however, after obtaining a bachelor's degree at Davidson College and beginning his career, playing fell by the wayside. More than 40 years later, he rediscovered his passion for the instrument when a hurricane caused a power outage in his region, and he has enthusiastically continued the hobby ever since.
