In 2010, Ms. Bennett retired from her long-time roles as both a registered nurse and nurse educator. A sensitive demeanor and deep compassion for others has helped Ms. Bennett gain the respect of her patients and colleagues. She also prides herself on being attentive and thorough, and is especially gratified to have been invited to work in complex open-heart surgeries and organ retrieval cases. To remain aware of developments in her field, she maintained her affiliation with such organizations as the Association of Operating Room Nurses, the Association of Surgical Technologists and the Kentucky Nurses Association.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Bennet aims to restore her nursing license and return to part-time work, pursuing an intense passion for helping ailing patients.
