As the head of the company, he runs operations at its four locations, communicating with store general managers, visiting sites, meeting customers and managing the financial aspects of the business.

Mr. Seelye is the third generation of his family to own and run Seelye Auto Group, which was founded 59 years ago; he began working for the company in the seventh grade, helping with the automotive detailing operations. Before stepping into the president's role, he served as the company's vice president, and, earlier in his career, as general manager and salesman. Prior to embarking on his vocational path, he earned a bachelor's degree in business from Olivet College in 2001, and he added to his skillset with a finance certification from the Association of Finance and Insurance Professionals in 2018.
Known for his contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Mr. Seelye is deeply involved in activities with local military veteran organizations as a tribute to his grandfather, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Dedicated to helping the next generation succeed, Mr. Seelye runs an internship program that affords students experience in automotive services, serves as a youth leader at his church, sits on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Michigan, and has volunteer coached basketball and soccer in his community.
Of all his community activities, one of the most important to Mr. Seelye is his involvement in ForeverStrong, an organization that strives to honor the victims and survivors of mass tragedies through family and community events and the development of a memorial. The cause is particularly meaningful to him because his dealership was one of the sites of the deadly Kalamazoo shootings of February 20, 2016; tragically, two victims, Richard and Tyler Smith, lost their lives there.
A devout Christian, Mr. Seelye attributes his many accomplishments to his faith; accepting Jesus Christ as his personal savior in 2006 was a crucial point in his life, as it revealed his purpose and set him on a path to leadership that positively affected his growth spiritually, personally and professionally. . He also acknowledges the support of his loved ones, including his parents, wife and two children, as well as his coaches, whose positive influence benefited him tremendously.
