Mrs. Eynon was a guest director for the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra and served as a guest conductor for the Scottsdale Symphony Orchestra, among others.
SCOTTSDALE, AZ, January 26, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carolyn S. Eynon has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Leveraging more than five decades of excellence in choir conducting, Mrs. Eynon has earned distinction as the artistic director of the Carolyn Eynon Singers. Since 2007, she has focused her efforts on writing grants, renting venues for live performances and hiring instrumentalists. Having been a choir director since 1970, she has been the artistic founding director of the Arizona Arts Chorale, Southfield Madrigal Chorale and Michigan Honors Choir since 2007. Additionally, she is a valued member of the American Chorale Directors Association, the National Society of Arts and Letters and Chorus America.
Prior to her current role, Mrs. Eynon served as the choir director for the Southfield Madrigal Chorale in 1982 until working with the Scottsdale Symphony Orchestra in 1995. Prior to embarking on her professional journey, she earned a Bachelor of Music in choral education and conducting in 1970 and a Master of Music in the same focus, both from the University of Michigan. She then attended a Doctor of Musical Arts in conducting from the same institution in 1978 as the first woman in the University of Michigan's program.
Outside of her primary career efforts, Mrs. Eynon was a guest director for the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra and served as a guest conductor for the Scottsdale Symphony Orchestra, the Plymouth Michigan Professional Orchestra and the Birmingham Michigan Professional Orchestra. Among her professional accomplishments, she was named an Executive Inc. Feature by the Phoenix Business Journal in 2017 and was honored as the Arts Hero of the Month by On Media in 2022.
Within the coming years, Mrs. Eynon intends to serve as an inspiring force for young women who want to follow their own dreams, the way she did with becoming a conductor. Accounting for her success, she credits her presence as a gregarious social leader in the art stand.
