Throughout the course of his professional career, Mr. Ocampo has garnered experience as a designer at Riverbend Sandler Pools in Plano, Texas. There, he had the opportunity to participate in a 90-day training program that included shadowing eight onsite designers and learning more about the company's mission. The program significantly increased Mr. Ocampo's expertise in various areas of the business, including design and construction. During his 6-year tenure, he became recognized as the company's most award-winning designer. Mr. Ocampo subsequently worked at Advanced Pools in El Paso before ultimately going into business for himself as the owner and founder of GO Designs Inc.
Mr. Ocampo studied at the University of El Paso. Recognizing his accomplishments, he received 27 accolades for his pool design projects from the Master Pools Guild and the National Swimming Pool Institute (now the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals) between 2003 and 2011. Mr. Ocampo was named the El Paso Best Landscaper Designer twice in 2020 and 2021 and has received multiple Service Awards from Houzz. Moreover, he has been featured in several media outlets, including City Magazine El Paso in 2017, Su Casa Magazine in 2013, 2017, 2018, and 2019, and USA Today in 2019. Mr. Ocampo was among just three top designers to be included in the USA Today article titled 'Hardscaping Tips for Backyards.'
