His football successes have earned him recognition as a runner-up for Rookie of the Year, as an All-American by Pro Football Weekly, and a place in the Gordon Wood Hall of Champions at Brownwood High School. However, he does not consider sports his main professional pursuit; he considers himself a businessman who works in the sport of diverse interests. Adjacent to his success with Gamers First, Mr. Vaccaro is a founding partner of As You Are, a high-end fashion boutique, and Kollective, a social performance club and co-working facility in Austin, Texas. In addition, he is a partner in Slim & Husky's, a fast-casual artisan pizza shop in Nashville, Tennessee.
Despite his numerous professional achievements, Mr. Vaccaro's proudest moment was opening a school in the Kibera slums of Nairobi, Kenya. In collaboration with one of his best friends, former rugby player and Vice President at Brookfield Asset Management, Michael Hobbs, he visited the site of a soon-to-be demolished school in Nairobi. He helped raise $400,000 to build a new school, Blessed Hope Primary School. Recently, Mr. Vaccaro sent the school's graduating class to see the film "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" so the students could see successful individuals who looked like them and find inspiration in their stories. Interactions like this, in which he gets to inspire others, bring Mr. Vaccaro a sense of pride.
Mr. Vaccaro attributes his success to a burning desire to succeed in everything he sets out to do and his high attention to detail.
