Presently affiliated with Southern Baptist Church, he has served as a pastor at Chestoa Baptist Church in Unicoi County, Bowmantown Baptist Church in Washington County, Lovelace Baptist Church in Greene County, and Hickory Tree Union Church in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Called to ministry at the age of 16, Rev. Wall attended Montvue Baptist Church as a youth and became licensed to preach at the church.

A recently published author, Rev. Wall wrote "What If: What If I Did, But I Shouldn't Have? What If I Didn't, But I Should Have? What If I Wanted To, But I Didn't?" via Christian Faith Publishing Inc. in 2021. His book is a memoir of his many life experiences. It also serves to present Jesus to the world by demonstrating to readers that God can direct people's lives. Rev. Wall aims to publish another book in the coming years.
Among Rev. Wall's most notable accomplishments, he assisted in the rebuilding of the Lovelace Baptist Church from which he had previously resigned. The church had burned down in a fire and Rev. Wall returned to help restore it to its former glory. With much help, the church was built back within one year and continues serving the Lord today.
Rev. Wall is a member of his local Twin Cities Lion's Club and Freemasonry. He enjoys being involved and giving back to his community as much as possible.
Born in Morristown, Tennessee, during the Great Depression, Rev. Wall grew up in a very poor neighborhood. He attended Rose Elementary School and Sherwood Elementary School, Morristown Junior High School, and Morristown High School before graduating in 1949. Accepted to Carson-Newman University, Rev. Wall briefly studied on campus before transferring to East Tennessee State University where he garnered a bachelor's degree in 1955. He subsequently studied at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina, between 1958 and 1960. Rev. Wall also notably received credentials as an ordained minister in 1954.
