Leveraging more than three decades of excellence in media production and communications, Ms. Ramirez has earned distinction as a skilled producer. In this capacity, she is an associate producer for The Donna Drake Show and Homageland TV. With the blessing of executive producer and host, Donna Drake, Amanda has curated distinctive segments including episodes for Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month and Women's History Month. Additionally, she is a professional actor with the SAG-AFTRA with credits from All My Children, As The World Turns and Canterbury's Law and a valued board member for the Suffolk County Film Commission.
Outside of her primary career efforts, Ms. Ramirez has been an independent producer since 2014 and an event manager for Mobile Stage Network and Parade Float Rentals based in Copiague, New York since 2018. While working there she became the director of production operations for the North Fork TV Festival in 2020. She served as the event producer for the festival as well until 2021.
Producer credits include Bibhu Mohapatra Spring Summer '21 fashion video, film short "I Love You, Guys," horror feature "Welcome to Willits" and the documentary "Laddie: The Man Behind The Movies" Additionally, she was the producer for the short documentary "Coco Solo," the documentary "¡Indestructible!: Baseball on the Isthmus" and was the executive producer for "My First Miracle."
Prior to her current role, Ms. Ramirez began her media career as an executive administrative assistant with Onyx Media Group in 1992 and was an administrative assistant for Dennis Hayes and Associates in 1994. She then was a commercial insertion operator for Cablevision in 1995 and was promoted to a commercial insertion coordinator in 2000. While in this role, she was a general assignment reporter for LI News Tonight in 2002 and a substitute teacher for the Wyandanch Union Free School District from 2005 to 2010. Following this time, she was a technician for Cablevision from 2013 to 2016. She continued her career as an ad insertion technician for Altice USA in 2016.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Ramirez earned a bachelor's degree in theater with a minor in dance from Long Island University C.W. Post. Her honors there include Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, Sigma Delta Pi National Spanish Honor Society, Order of Omega Fraternal Honor Society (ΣΔΤ) and Collegiate All-American Scholar. In 2003, Amanda attained a master's degree in mass communication with distinction from the New York Institute of Technology. Well-qualified in her field, she holds a certificate in film, cinema, and video studies from Western Suffolk BOCES and as of 2021, is certified as a COVID-19 compliance officer with Health Education Services for television and film.
Inspired by her mother's career as a prep cook and love for programs such as Julia Child's The French Chef and Daisy Cooks! hosted by Chef | Sommelier Daisy Martinez, Amanda obtained a certificate from the University of California, Davis in Wine Analysis.
Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Ramirez has earned many awards for her production work. She won the Golden Ace Award for the Television Pilot Competition of the Las Vegas International Film Festival in 2009 and the Aloha Accolade Award for Excellence in Filmmaking from the Honolulu International Film Festival the same year. She was also a Women of Distinction Honoree by the New York State Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre in 2017 and the Hispanic Heritage Month Honoree from the Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer in 2018. She was honored with an award for Best Trailer for "¡Indestructible!: Baseball on the Isthmus" at the Long Island International Film Expo in 2019 and at the Tripvill International Film Festival in 2020. Her work with fashion designer Bibhu Mohapatra in 2021 also earned her a Gold Award of Excellence from the Communicator Awards and was the gold winner for the Viddy Awards and the silver winner in the Telly Awards, all in 2022. Within the coming years, Ms. Ramirez intends to distribute the baseball documentary, ¡Indestructible!: Baseball on the Isthmus to a wider audience while working on more projects.
