Between 2016 and 2021, Ms. Younger also worked as senior event manager and 'Pride Guide' managing editor for NYC Pride through which she managed 10 events with budgets ranging from $1.5 to $2.2 million and featured such artists as Madonna and Patti LaBelle.
Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Younger has gained valuable expertise in executive roles with High Times, where she increased profits between 30 and 60 percent, and MRY, through which she managed marketing campaign logistics for 300 activations across 80 locations and coordinated the transition of more than 150 staff members. During the early stages of her career, she refined her knowledge of marketing, program development and editing with such institutions as Spearhead Marketing Group, the National Basketball Association, the New York City Council, CXO Communication, Zipatoni/Sharkbait Branding and the IEEE Biomedical Engineering Journal. Alongside her notable work in marketing, Ms. Younger interned for U.S. Congresswoman Karen Thurman of the U.S. House of Representatives and served as a member of Sister Schools International Center for Civil Society Studies.
Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Ms. Younger earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and religion from the University of Florida in 2001 and a Master of Science in conflict analysis and resolution through Nova Southeastern University in 2004. Likewise, she received a certification in management essentials from Harvard Business School Online and became a COVID-19 compliance officer through Health Education Services in 2019 and 2020, respectively. For more than 25 years, she has obtained sponsors and reduced production costs for NYC Pride and championed High Times' first international event in Negril, Jamaica.
