One "legacy" project that Mr. Rakach had the privilege to supervise is the Ivy Station, a true urban TOD (transit oriented development) located in Culver City, California. Ivy Station includes 500K SF of mixed use, 200 luxury apartments, a 148-room boutique hotel, 200K SF of office space and 55K SF of retail space. This project has received numerous recognitions such as the LA Business Journal Gold Award, NAIOP Social Mixed Use Project of the Year, PBC Award of Merit and Pueblo Award for community impact from BOMA LA and a TOBY.
Mr. Rakach refuge from Kiev, Ukraine with his family in 1993 when he was just 9 years of age. He had to overcome cultural adversity, financial hardship and get accustomed to life in the USA. Mr. Rakach attributes a great deal of his success to his talent for mathematics, which initially inspired him to pursue a career as a banker. He eventually transitioned to the construction industry upon the advice of a close friend, who was enjoying his own prosperous career as a general contractor.
Between 2000-2017, Mr. Rakach established his leadership expertise as a PM, SR PM and Director of Construction for multiple general construction organizations in his former home state of California such as Eagle Eye Home Services, Fast Track Construction, Sierra Pacific Constructors, and Morley Builders. In 2017 Mr. Rakach pivoted his role into the real estate development industry where he worked for Lowe as Assistant Vice President of Construction for the LA office. Mr. Rakach currently resides in Beaverton, OR, where he excels as a Construction Management Specialist in a consultant capacity. He is LEED AP and OSHA 30 certified and is currently in the process of attaining his PMP (project management professional) certification. In the coming years he intends to pursue an executive/director position in a prominent construction management/consulting firm and play a vital role in this company's empowerment and growth.
