Looking toward the future, Ms. Fox aims to continue to be of service to others as a consultant to those seeking her expertise in the social work and mental health sectors.
CAPE CORAL, FL, February 09, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pamela L. Fox has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Now retired, Ms. Fox enjoyed a very rewarding career specializing in mental health and geriatrics for several decades. As a licensed nursing home administrator and clinical social worker, she served as the director of social work at Canterbury Nursing and Rehabilitation in 2019 overseeing the needs of the residents and families of the facility. Excelling in her role, Ms. Fox thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to serve an intimate role in other people's lives. She was also successful in being able to communicate well with patients and their family members, thus developing long-lasting, trusting relationships with each of them. Furthermore, Ms. Fox was also able to provide them much-needed resources that, oftentimes, they did not know were even available.
Prior to joining Canterbury Nursing and Rehabilitation in 2019, Ms. Fox was the Director of Social Services at Family of Caring at Van Dyk Montclair in Montclair, New Jersey, between 2018 and 2019. She also gained extensive expertise as an admissions coordinator and marketer at Van Dyk Manor where she spent more than 15 years beginning in 2003. Looking toward the future, Ms. Fox aims to continue to be of service to others as a consultant to those seeking her expertise in the social work and mental health sectors.
Ms. Fox has lent her expertise in the community by volunteering at area hospitals and as a volunteer emergency medical technician. She also lends her free time at local animal shelters, which she is very passionate about, and helps various nonprofit organizations during the holidays by distributing meals to the needy.
Ms. Fox graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey in Mahwah with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1993. She subsequently attended Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey, where she earned a Master of Social Work in 1997. She also received credentials as a licensed nursing home administrator through the Nursing Home Administrators Licensing Board in 2009 and credentials as a licensed clinical social worker through the Board of Social Work Examiners in 2000. Furthermore, Ms. Fox received a certificate of specialized training in critical incident stress management and a license as a public notary in Morris County, New Jersey.
While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Ms. Fox became her mother's caretaker before passing away. It was during that very influential time that she realized how much she enjoyed helping others, which ultimately led to her pursuing a master's degree in social work. In addition to attributing her success in the industry to the unfortunate loss of her mother, Ms. Fox recognizes her upbringing; there was alcoholism in her family which helped her understand the needs of the alcoholic and the families. This instilled in her a desire to follow a path where she could thrive.
