Mr. Strong is Territory Manager for Gearmore Inc, a firm that deals in specialty equipment for vineyards, orchards, and other types of tractor driven machinery for a variety of applications. Mr. Strong served as Sales Manager for Mid-Cal Tractor, Stockton California from 1984 to 2004. Prior to that he was the factory Representative for Howard Rotavator Co between 1980 and 1984. Other relevant experience that Mr. Strong brings to his current position includes retail sales experience at the dealer level and wholesale and retail finance experience with Borg-Warner Acceptance Corp as Assistant Branch Manager.
Various milestones have marked Mr. Strong's professional achievements across his diverse career. For example, in 1978 he helped to introduce mechanical Grape Harvesting into Northern California with both the Howard Rotavator company and as a dealer salesman, the Chisholm Ryder product line. With Mid-Cal tractor, he managed the Landini specialty tractor line introducing narrow vineyard tractors and modifying crawler tractors to be equipped with rubber tracks for orchard and vineyard use. Mr. Strong partnered with Deere and company as dealer sales manager working with their new line of narrow vineyard tractors. As Territory Representative for Gearmore, Mr. Strong has collaborated on making refinements and enhancements of the Italian manufacturer Sicma three point mounted rototillers to aid in incorporating material back into the ground for better soil improvement. He has also worked extensively to pioneer a three-point, tractor driven Brush Processor with another Italian company Seppi to aid in the elimination of burning orchard pruning biproducts and to aid in product rot down into the soil.
Mr. Strong currently resides in Texas to be closer to family. Ultimately, he plans to work with his team of associates to continue to foster the acceptance of mechanical agricultural specialty products, and to do his part to help both his company and growers of specialty crops.
