Drawing on years of professional expertise in language services, Ms. Grant presently excels as an interpreter and translator for Keiko K. Grant Language Services. Since 1988, she has worked with a wide range of clients, including state and city governments, as well as the Japanese national, prefectural, and city municipal governments. Over the years, she has interpreted and translated from Japanese to English and English to Japanese, worked on medical seminars for nursing, medical, and physical therapy schools, and liaised with other interpreters who speak other languages.
Outside of her work, Ms. Grant dedicates herself to several nonprofit organizations, including Goodwill. She also devotes herself to social work seminars every year through which she visits homeless shelters, prisons, and halfway houses. An expert in her field, she graduated from the YMCA English Language School in Kyoto and received a certification through the University of Hawaii's Center for Interpretation and Translation Studies.
While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Grant takes the most pride in being able to translate and interpret between two different countries and cultures. Likewise, she is proud of receiving thank you letters and notes from clients. The cornerstone of her success lay in being a people person and the support of her helpful husband. Within the next five to ten years, Ms. Grant aims to expand upon her services due to her recent foray into the field of medical surrogacy between clients in Japan and Hawaii.
