Since 2018, Mr. Shumpert has thrived as a modeling and simulation officer with the United States Army. With a cumulative total of 20 years of military leadership experience to his credit, he currently specializes in combining aspects of various intelligence systems, logistics systems and fire control systems to create combat simulations and training exercises. Prior to commissioning as a United States Army Officer, Mr. Shumpert served four years in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Shumpert had previously focused on overseeing the transportation of hundreds of pieces of military equipment to multiple military installations across the United States while serving as a logistics officer.
Between 2007 and 2009, Mr. Shumpert conducted more than 330 combat logistics patrols throughout Baghdad in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During this period, he also supervised the construction of more than 25 bunkers that shielded thousands of U.S. soldiers from enemy fire. Alongside his primary professional responsibilities, Mr. Shumpert currently excels as an associate of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and contributes to the Marine Corps League as an events coordinator.
Throughout his military career, Mr. Shumpert has been honored with a host of accolades including three Bronze Star Medals, four Meritorious Service Medals, two Commendation Medals and four Achievement Medals. In recognition of his participation in the Iraq War and the War in Afghanistan, he was distinguished with an Iraq Campaign Medal and an Afghan Campaign Medal. In addition to the support of his family, Mr. Shumpert attributes a great deal of his success to his continuous expansion of his professional skill set through lifelong learning. In the coming years, he intends to establish his own business as well as a private recreational center for fellow military veterans.
