Ms. Gilbert also gained increasing responsibility as the senior manager of corporate communications and subsequently as the director at Janus Capital Group between 2007 and 2012 and between 2012 and 2014, respectively. Furthermore, she had the opportunity to serve as the vice president at Griffin Communications from 1999 to 2003 and as the owner and operator of RWG Communications between 2003 and 2007. During an earlier stage of her career, Ms. Gilbert worked in the government sector as a legislative aide for a state senator. She also garnered expertise in public affairs and government relations at a nearby consulting firm in Ohio.
In 2022, Ms. Gilbert was featured in an article in Power to Fly where she discussed how she propelled her career by transitioning from public relations and communications to financial sales. She has also been included in Viva! Latin America, Business First, and Smart Business News. Looking toward the future, Ms. Gilbert aims to continue making a difference for her clients in her role at Invesco US, while also serving as a role model and mentor for young females on her sales team.
Committed to various nonprofit and charitable organizations, Ms. Gilbert frequently volunteers and donates to such organizations as the National Dog Mill Rescue and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
A native of Ohio, Ms. Gilbert studied locally, earning a BAC in marketing communications at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, in 1991. She remains a member of Alpha Xi Delta.
As a testament to her integrity, Ms. Gilbert was recognized by Business First in its 40 Under 40 List. She also received a West Division Sales Award. Ms. Gilbert attributes much of her success to her hard work, determination, and perseverance. She also notes her willingness to volunteer on projects even if she cannot be compensated for her work because she knows that what she is doing is making a positive impact on others.
