Mr. Emhof is recognized for his expertise in racing, both behind the wheel and behind the scenes.
SODUS, NY, February 22, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael J. Emhof has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Emhof is recognized for his expertise in racing, both behind the wheel and behind the scenes. Through Mike Emhof Motorsports, Inc., he promotes his own racing events throughout the region, including CRSA Sprint, Patriot Sprint Tour and Central New York Mini Sprints. His other business, Mike Emhof Motorsports Parts, is a leader in open-wheel racing parts distribution, and includes a storefront in Sodus and trackside operations at racing events throughout the Northeast. As a result of his leadership in the field, Mr. Emhof received a 2022 Motorsports Award and holds a board seat on the voting panel for the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame.
As a child, Mr. Emhof's parents instilled in him a strong work ethic. It was also due to his upbringing that he fell in love with racing; at the age of 8, his parents moved next door to a racecar driver and took the young Mr. Emhof to a race for his birthday. That event marked the beginning of his passion for the sport and his drive to succeed in it. He went on to serve in the U.S. Navy, receiving a Navy Commendation Medal.
Adjacent to Mr. Emhof's work in the motorsports field, he has held a successful 40-year career as an engineer for Dynalec Corporation, a defense contractor engineering business. Through his work building smoke detectors for navy ships, he holds a Radiation Safety Officer Certification. Mr. Emhof is also a consultant, working on approximately five projects at the moment. However, looking toward the future, he is considering retiring from his engineering work to put more effort into his businesses and consulting. Now 62 years old, he is healthy but wants to slow down and enjoy life. This would involve spending more time with his large family — including his wife, three sons, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren — and remaining active with the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame, the New York State Stock Car Association and donating to support racing events for the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.
