Prior to transitioning into real estate, Mr. Greear worked alongside his father on the family dairy farm in Riner, Virginia. He also found success in the new home construction industry, where he gained extensive insight into the real estate industry and how homes were actually constructed.
Well known for his leadership and service throughout his community, Mr. Greear presently serves on the board of directors for the Montgomery County Farm Bureau. Passionate about conquering food shortages, he and his wife donate approximately 60,000 pounds of fresh produce from their farm every year, which is distributed to more than 40 area food banks and charities, including the Society of Saint Andrews. Since becoming involved over a decade ago, Mr. Greear has contributed close to 1 million pounds of fresh produce to various charitable organizations. In addition to his participation with these two organizations, he helped create Riner Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Charter Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Greear graduated from Auburn High School in Riner, Virginia, in 1989. He subsequently achieved a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Economics at Radford University in 1994. Highly qualified in his field, Mr. Greear also earned certification as an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a Graduate of REALTOR Institute (GRI), and E-PRO, the internet professional through the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
To remain aware of developments in real estate, Mr. Greear is a member of the National Association of Realtors, where he frequently participates in local, state and national events, workshops and conferences. Furthermore, he is a member of the Virginia Association of Realtors.
Among his countless recognitions, Mr. Greear was named as the Overall Top Producing Agent for the Southwest Virginia Region by Long & Foster Real Estate again in 2022. He also became a member of the organization's Gold Team and Platinum Club in 2020, 2021 and 2022, largely in recognition of excellence in sales, and was ranked 4th in Virginia and 172nd nationally for the number of transactions closed by Real Trends and The Wall Street Journal for 2022.
