Prior to his current role, Mr. Cuba began his career as an engineering surveyor for Murray and Roberts in 1979 and was the chief land surveyor for Shell Coal South Africa and Botswana in 1979. Following this time, he was the senior manager for Accenture in 1982 until becoming the founder, chief executive officer and chairman for Safika Holdings in 1995. Among his professional accomplishments, he is proud to have received an Abe Bailey Trust Fellowship Award, an Italian Government Scholarship and a Helen Suzman Leadership Award.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Cuba earned a Bachelor of Science in land surveying from the University of Fort Hare in 1978 and a Bachelor of Science in information systems from the University of South Africa in 1986. He then attained a Master of Business Administration in finance and service operations from the London Business School in 1993.
Within the coming years, Mr. Cuba intends to continue to focus his efforts on an energy project in Ghana called Rotan Energy. He also aims to facilitate business ventures that seek to expand into South Africa, drawing on his extensive experiences there.
