Considered an expert in his field, he holds an associate degree in communications from the Community College of the Air Force, a bachelor's degree in Russian language and literature from the University of Maryland, and a master's degree in international business from the same institution. Subsequently, Mr. Wilcox became a federal agent through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and studied further at the Defense Language Institute's Foreign Language Center and Penn State University.
In recognition of his outstanding breadth of knowledge and dedication to protecting international security, Mr. Wilcox earned the Interagency Award for helping to stop a terrorist network's illicit acquisition program for weapons and ammunition, from the Assistant Secretary of Immigration Customs Enforcement, a Counterintelligence Award through the Department of Defense, and a Gold Medal for Extraordinary Service for Stopping Russian Illicit Procurement Networks from the Secretary of Commerce. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in utilizing his expertise amidst the current situation in Ukraine. Whenever he is able to assist in stopping a thermal or night vision camera, materials related to chemical or biological weapons, or other sensitive items from ending up in the hands of an adversarial military, he is able to sleep well at night. In the next five to ten years, Mr. Wilcox intends to see an entire plan across the northern hemisphere for non-profit sanctions and export control societies to educate and assist industry in preparing to help protect international security through enhanced export control and sanctions compliance.
