Jesse Ramirez Honored as a Distinguished Entrepreneur

Mr. Ramirez began his professional endeavors working in the oil and gas industry. He gained valuable expertise as a private owner of Shell Petroleum LLC and as the owner of a landscaping company, which would bode well for him later in his career journey. In order to expand upon his knowledge of business, Mr. Ramirez earned an associate degree in business management with a minor in marketing from Del Mar College in 1998. He also conducted coursework at the University of The Incarnate Word and holds a certificate in business management.

Drawing on more than a decade and a half of experience as a business owner, Mr. Ramirez presently serves as the owner of Energia Trucking LLC, through which he hauls freight for the H-E-B Company, one of the largest grocery companies in the United States and Mexico. Since establishing the company in 2004, he has managed drivers and attended meetings with clients in Mexico and in Corpus Christi, Houston and San Antonio, Texas. A devoted business owner and entrepreneur, Mr. Ramirez has gained immeasurable expertise in customer service, sales management, new business development and more.

In conjunction with his primary work, Mr. Ramirez has also dedicated time to being a professional boxing promoter, as well as a sponsor and donor to local boxing gymnasiums. In his local community, he also serves as a board member for various local school committees that aim to help underprivileged children who are being raised by single parents and that are in need of school supplies. Additionally, he served seven years as a board member of Communities in Schools of Corpus Christi.

Alongside a career abundant with standout moments, Mr. Ramirez takes great pride in serving in the United States Air Force Reserves between 1987 and 1996. Notably, for his dedication to the military, he received various accolades, including a Ribbon of Marksmanship. To add to his accomplishments, Mr. Ramirez has been honored as Salesman of the Year for the Oil and Gas Industry and received an award through Energy Industries, owned by B.D. Holt Company, for working for Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Ramirez attributes his success to his drive for excellence and to his self-motivation, which was instilled in him by his grandfather, Santos M. De Leon Sr. Likewise, he credits his high school counselors and college professors who helped him to achieve his goals. Mr. Ramirez also notes the importance of his faith and resilience, as times had not always been easy for him, especially in the early days of starting his businesses. With patience and drive, he is proud that his hard work has paid off to offer him a comfortable and happy life.

Above all, Mr. Ramirez is honored to have raised a beautiful family, including his five children, Jessie III, Diego, Saige, Amber and Deybi Moreno.
