Terry Gale Has Grown the Collection of Rambler Ranch

    ELIZABETH, CO, March 02, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Terry W. Gale has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Since 1992, Mr. Gale has excelled as the owner and curator at Rambler Ranch in Elizabeth, Colorado, which has garnered a reputation as one of the greatest automotive treasures in the world. Featuring nearly 300 cars on display, making it the largest collection of Nash, Rambler and AMC cars in the world, the historic museum also showcases countless pieces of automotive memorabilia, such as advertising and promotional materials, and even toys.

Among his responsibilities, Mr. Gale conducts tours, collaborates closely with paint and body shops to maintain his collection, maintains the facilities and supervises a mechanic. Well regarded for his success in managing Rambler Ranch Productions' collection, he has been featured in numerous media publications, including Hemmings Motor News, Barn Finds and Junkyard Gold. Likewise, the ranch has been featured on the show "My Classic Car" with Dennis Gage and was used as set for the movies "Creep" and "Monster Force Zero."

Mr. Gale has been fascinated with cars since his childhood, as he recalls playing with Hot Wheels trucks and track sets. Once he obtained a driver's license, he notes that was when he really got bit by the "car bug." He inherited three cars and his interest in motors from his father, which ultimately led him to his career in the automotive industry. He graduated from Fruita Monument High School in 1979 and went on to work in the retail industry in Denver for several years, and also started his own maintenance company. One of his clients, Greg Kissinger, was so pleased with his work that he recruited him to his oil company, Kissinger Petroleum, and the two eventually married.

At the age of 31, Mr. Gale retired from his position with Kissinger Petroleum and began collecting cars in a 7,500-square-foot garage. He began by restoring a 1954 Nash Ambassador. Soon, the space could no longer hold his growing fleet, leading him and Mr. Kissinger to acquire an adjacent 160-acre property, where they built an 18,000-square-foot garage in 2007. Though Mr. Kissinger passed away unexpectedly in 2016, his boundless generosity enabled the existence of Rambler Ranch, whose ever-growing collection Mr. Gale continues to maintain in his memory.

It was never Mr. Gale's intention turn his garage into a museum, but he has very much enjoyed seeing people's reactions to his collection, as well as upkeeping it. As the number of visitors continued to increase, he kept improving the area with more memorabilia, picnic areas, and even a kitchen and dining area. He added a two-bedroom 1960s house to the property, and the 1988 cabin that came with the property it became another attraction. His institution has welcomed many celebrities, including the great grandchildren of Charles W. Nash, who were blown away by what they saw.

Mr. Gale attributes much of his success to his flawless attention to detail and his ability to make his museum relatable to the public. He feels that not enough credit has been given to Nash Motors in terms of its contribution to society, and part of his plan is to educate people on the subject. Civically involved as well, Mr. Gale is proud to participate in local high school fundraisers and offer free tours to special needs groups and seniors through the Rambler Ranch.

In the coming years, Mr. Gale looks forward to completing a 250-page coffee table book about his unique collection. His ultimate goal for the museum is to include cars manufactured from every year between 1917 and 1988. At present, he is only eight vehicles away from that aspiration.
