Mevlude Markashi Shines as a Home Health Consultant

    STATEN ISLAND, NY, March 02, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mevlude (Mev) Markashi, RN, BSN, CHFP has been included in Marquis Who's Who. A passionate and diligent health care professional, Ms. Markashi has worked in various health care settings throughout her more than 25-year career. In 1995, she began her career as a registered nurse for a detention facility and went on to work in acute care. Briefly active in pharmaceutical sales for AstraZeneca, she became fluent in business strategy, marketing, and sales and was recognized for her team leadership in product education. For five years, from 2005 to 2010, Ms. Markashi served as director of clinical operations for the Visiting Nurse Association of Staten Island before joining Premier Home Health Care Services, Inc., where she excelled as regional director of patient services and regional vice president of operations through 2015. From there, she offered her services as a consultant from 2015 to 2021.

In 2021, Ms. Markashi established Markashi Home Health Consulting LLC in Staten Island, New York, which has become recognized as a premier home health care consultant. In her role as a clinical operations consultant, she and her team work diligently to implement strategies that deliver high-quality home care outcomes and maintain consistent financial performance. In addition to providing clinical operations management services, Ms. Markashi offers interim leadership positions to assist with administrative efficiency, regulatory compliance, procedural flow, and other areas of the business, as well as other services such as compliance, quality of care, staff development and training, and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis.

Upon reflection on her abundant career, Ms. Markashi attributes her success to being adaptable to her environment, along with impeccable attention to detail. She loves to see something start and end better than it began, which relates to her passion for helping her patients achieve positive outcomes. She credits her achievements to the many mentors she's had throughout her life, notably, Joanne Knorr, who gave her encouragement and advice on how to make wiser decisions and helped her develop her leadership abilities. She also learned good sales strategies and how to build aligned relationships with physicians from Joy Trezza.

Outside of her primary endeavors, Ms. Markashi is an avid supporter of charities and her local community. She supports Catholic Charities USA, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the American Red Cross, as well as events that support cancer and other illnesses. Ms. Markashi is also an advocate and translator for refugee resettlement through the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York and a volunteer for the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Medical Reserve Corps.

To prepare for her vocation, Ms. Markashi earned an Associate of Applied Science in nursing at the College of Staten Island in 1995, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Psychology from Lehman College in 1999, both part of the City University of New York. She subsequently received her credentials as a registered nurse in New York and New Jersey, as well as certifications in Patient Access Essentials, Business of Healthcare and as a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional through the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). To remain aware of developments in her field, Ms. Markashi is a professional member of the HFMA.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Markashi hopes to experience the continued growth and success of her business by facilitating more collaborations with local health care agencies and professionals.
