Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Bartilow is a member of the American Political Science Association, the International Studies Association, the Latin American Studies Association, and the National Conference of Black Political Scientists. An expert in his field, he completed coursework in political-sociology through Fulton-Montgomery Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the State University of New York at Albany, and a Master of Arts in political science from his alma mater. Over the years, Dr. Bartilow expanded upon his knowledge, earning a Ph.D. in international political economy from his alma mater as well.
In light of his professional achievements, Dr. Bartilow received the Council on the United Nations System Award, a Fulbright Scholarship, the SUNY System President's Distinguished Doctoral Dissertation Award, and The Teacher Who Made a Difference Award through the University of Kentucky, which was the highlight of his career. Within the coming years, Dr. Bartilow intends to further his research and complete three books on which he is currently working, and these include "Pawns and Puppets," "Sinophobia and the Liberal Order," and "Financialization and the Global Decline of Liberal Democracy."
