Previously, he worked for LCO Community Health Center as a behavioral health director and head start director. During the early stages of his career, Dr. Girard gained valuable expertise in the field of education as a home school coordinator for native children in the Lac Courte Oreilles community. In this capacity, he supported the educational, social development, and general welfare of native children.
Outside of his work, Dr. Girard is a board member for the LCO Credit Union and a former member of the Hayward Community School Advisory Board. An expert in his field, he holds a bachelor's degree in business management and communication from Concordia University, a master's degree in guidance counseling from the University of Wisconsin, and an ED. D., from Argosy University. Throughout his career, Dr. Girard has achieved much with the LCO Community Programs. When he first began with Head Start, they had zero compliance with the Office of Head Start Performance Standards. However, with his help, they became compliant, brought in trained and certified staff, and installed a security system.
In light of his professional accomplishments, Dr. Girard has been honored many times, earning Letters of Excellence during the course of his master's degree studies. Looking ahead, he intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career. Ultimately, Dr. Girard aims to bring in and establish management for their new clinic so that he can eventually retire.
