A longtime resident of Arkansas, Mr. Stigall pursued a formal education at Hendrix College, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry as well as a Bachelor of Arts in German in 1981. He subsequently completed coursework for a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Arkansas before beginning his professional career at Solvay, where he worked as a Senior Technical Applications Analyst for more than five years. Between 1990 and 1992, Mr. Stigall developed his engineering expertise as an engineering specialist for Hess Corporation and as a senior business systems analyst and project manager for MAPCO Petroleum Inc.
After serving as a consultant, project manager and site leader for Systems & Programming Resources, Inc. for two years, Mr. Stigall found further success as a software engineer, project manager and senior consultant for Comsys Consulting in St. Louis from 1995 until 1997. Throughout the following two years, Mr. Stigall held a number of leadership positions with Monsanto, where he managed a team of bioinformaticists and provided project management to a department of 60 programmers in the aforementioned company's genomics sequencing center and oversaw the testing, translation and migration of various scientific applications.
Upon Pfizer Inc.'s acquisition of Pharmacia/Monsanto in 1999, Mr. Stigall was appointed as a scientific programmer and project manager for Pfizer for several years. During this period, he notably spearheaded a $13 million-dollar project that involved the acquisition and migration of critical biotechnology applications as well as the establishment of multiple licensing agreements for custom genomic analysis software. Mr. Stigall subsequently provided computer system validation and project management services as a consultant for a series of biotechnology companies such as Amgen Inc., Genentech, Inc. and Perlegen Sciences.
From 2010 until 2012, Mr. Stigall thrived as a senior laboratory information management systems (LIMS) engineer for Mylan N.V., which is now part of a global pharmaceutical organization known as Viatris. After overseeing the installation of laboratory automation technology across numerous countries, he was promoted to the position of global LIMS manager and he excelled in this role for three years. From 2015 until 2017, Mr. Stigall found further success as the Director of Electronic Quality Systems for Noven Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which is owned by Hisamatsu Pharmaceutical Co., Inc.
In 2018, Mr. Stigall was recruited by United States Data Management (USDM) Life Sciences as a consulting Senior Business Analyst in the area of pharmaceutical and biotechnology laboratory systems. He had previously served as the Vice President of Compliance and Quality Assurance for OmniComm Systems, which is owned by Anju Software, from 2017 to 2018. Between 2019 and 2020, Mr. Stigall worked as a Manager of Quality Enterprise Systems for Catalent, Inc. before returning to USDM Life Sciences, where he currently excels as a Principal Validation Engineer.
An active affiliate of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering since 2016, Mr. Stigall attributes a great deal of his success to the continuous expansion of his professional network. He advises aspiring software engineers to maximize their skill sets by continuously accepting increasingly challenging projects.
