MANKATO, MN, March 10, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel Gatluak Puot Well has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Well has distinguished himself as the executive director and president of the South Sudanese Community of Minnesota in Mankato since 2014. A nonprofit organization, it serves to assist the Sundanese community throughout the state and lends aid to immigrants coming to the U.S. from South Sudan. Additionally, the group supports displaced Sudanese people overseas.
In his role, Mr. Well is primarily responsible for ensuring that all 64 tribes of South Sudan are treating each other with respect and equal rights. He also connects with new immigrants and other communities throughout the state to help meet their individual needs. Looking toward the future, Mr. Well aims to continue assisting Sudanese individuals, especially his fellow immigrants from South Sudan, by advocating on their behalf.
During the pandemic, Mr. Well served an instrumental role on the frontlines of the crisis. As a local immigrant leader, he frequently translated from English to several other languages so the community could better understand what was happening worldwide and what was being aired on television. Mr. Well also ensured that they received hearty food, supplies, and vaccines. Most importantly, he focused on ensuring they all felt valued and found a sense of belonging in their community.
During an earlier stage of his career, Mr. Well functioned as a personal care assistance case manager for Family Partners of Minnesota, a home and community-based service provider that assists individuals and families with various goals and daily requirements. He also served as a local advisory chairperson on behalf of the Blues Earth County Mental Health Task Force, a division of the Blues Earth County Mental Health Task Force. Apart from his full-time commitments, Mr. Well has also become a published author, having written three books: "Defend Your Freedom for Your Children" in 2012; "Keune Ke Thok Nuer Nyaton Duop" in 2014; and "Thank You, Lord" in 2016.
Mr. Well first graduated with a Legal Assistant Diploma ICS in Government Study from the East Africa Institute of Certified Studies in 1997, followed by a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in criminal justice management from Columbus University in 1999 and 2004, respectively, and a second Bachelor of Science in government and public administration from Liberty University in 2019.
In honor of his contributions, Mr. Well was recognized by the International Interreligious Federation for World Peace as an Ambassador for Peace. He contributes much of his success to his faith and the belief that he should always take God with him wherever he goes.
