COLUMBUS, GA, March 10, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pamela S. Williams, BS, MSHRM, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
What a difference a year and a half can make, for it seems life can change in an instant. No one knows this better than Pamela S. Williams, founder, owner and CEO of Peaceful River Residential Services, LLC, a Columbus, Georgia based healthcare agency.
In 2021, Pam and her beloved hubby of 24 years, David Shelby Williams, were busy adjusting to parenthood and still in awe of the miracle birth of their then one-year-old twins after being childless for 22 years.
Now, so much has changed. Once a "dynamic duo" partnership, Pam now finds herself at the helm of a $2.5 million residential healthcare agency and operating without her beloved husband, partner and cheerleader who succumbed to Covid a little over a year ago. His death came less than a month after she suddenly and unexpectedly lost her beautiful mom, Geraldine Stephens.
"2021 was a devastating year for our family. My siblings and I lost our Queen, and I lost my soulmate. Yet, despite it all, God is good, and He is keeping us," Pam said.
The philanthropic businesswoman reminisces, "David has always encouraged, supported and lifted me. Even though he's no longer here physically, I still feel him encouraging and lifting me every day. He lifted me then, he lifts me now, and his legacy will forever lift me and our babies."
And lifting others has always been a way of life for her military family. When one is born into a military family, service is understood to be a way of life. You're simply born to lift others up. Pam has spent her entire life serving in ways that have always made her late parents, veteran John D. Stephens and Geraldine Stephens and now late husband extremely proud, for she exudes service: service to her community, service to God, and service to her "differently-abled" sweetie pies and veteran dependents who reside in her ministry - Peaceful River Residential Services.
What grew from one home is now five in addition to a private homecare agency which sends caregivers, primarily CNA's, to the homes of clients in a multi-county region. PRRS employs 52 team members - RN's, LPN's, CNA's and Direct Care Staff Workers - with more than 300 years of collective experience. This CARF-accredited business meets an annualized payroll of more than three quarters of a million dollars, all while giving back to the community through philanthropy, service and support of many worthwhile community events and causes.
"Although my father was the inspiration that birthed Peaceful River, Peaceful River is part of the legacy of my husband that we built together, and I must ensure our legacy flourishes,' said Mrs. Williams.
When she is not overseeing her rapidly expanding CARF-accredited businesses, Pam, now a single mom with a tremendous village and support system, is doting on their adorable twins, David Shelby Jr. and Dailey Grace. Affectionately called "Grace and Mercy", the twins will soon turn three on March 26th. The active twins provide Pam with loving reminders of her and David's unending love and can often be heard playing and laughing in the background when their hands-on CEO mom is participating in business or civic conference calls.
Pictures, albums and mementoes of David and Pam's beautiful life together are present everywhere in the home, and the kids often point to and look at his smiling face. "Daddy," they say. To keep his loving memory alive, Pam recently instituted the Peaceful River Residential Services David S. Williams Memorial Courage Award to be given annually during the SportVisions Athlete of the Year Awards to the football player who exemplifies the most courage and heart on and off the field.
"David was such a big kid at heart, and I want our kids to know his joy and laughter. I want his name to live on," she said.
An avid tennis player who recently realized a bucket-wish dream of attending the US Open, Mrs. Williams graduated from Columbus State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Relations with a concentration in Business Management. She also received her Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Troy State University. A native of Columbus, Georgia, she is a business woman with experience in banking, finance, and entrepreneurship. She is a former Broker Associate at Wells Fargo Bank and former project manager for Total System Services.

Mrs. Williams is a past member of Wells Fargo Advisory Board Columbus Ga.; Girls Inc, Board Member; United Way TSYS Commercial Card Division, Chairperson; River Center Ambassadors Board, and Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), Secretary (Troy State University).
Her desire to support other worthwhile causes is exemplified by her sponsorship of several endeavors annually among them The Bob Wright Symposium on Business Excellence (BWSBE) Gold Sponsor, SportsVisions USA Athlete of the Year Awards including the Peaceful River Female Athlete of the Year and the David S. Williams Memorial Courage Award, The UNCF Mayor's Masked Ball, Annual Gold Sponsor of the Urban League EOD Gala, Davis Broadcasting Women's Empowerment Luncheon, Loretta Cobb Unity Walk of Faith, and Courier Eco Latino Magazine. A serial entrepreneur, Mrs. Williams is always looking at new business ventures and ideas, yet she says, "My first priority is our beautiful double blessings – to see them grow and thrive and know their doting father. I'm confident Peaceful River will continue its mission. If we do that, we are doing God's work, and that makes me happier than you can imagine. I know David would be proud."
