Dr. Scott is the medical director for Forum Health Akron and an expert in well-woman care as well as integrative functional medicine. She earned a Bachelor of Science in natural sciences from the University of Akron and an MD from the Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine, where she has also served as a clinical assistant professor. Dr. Scott completed a residency at Summa Health Systems of Akron City Hospital, where she earned the Teacher of the Year commendation in 2013, and she holds board certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Scott is passionate about serving others and dedicated to contributing to superb higher education standards in healthcare. As an instructor, her contributions include both in-person and online instructional interaction with medical students and physicians active across five continents, and she remains intent on educating the general public about critical health and wellness resources and initiatives. Dr. Scott also occupies seats on several related boards, including at Strat Health, Mechanism Wellness and Bionic Health.
Active memberships in associated organizations help Dr. Scott maintain open channels for networking and offer appropriate forums for disseminating her expertise through conference participation and guest speaking engagements around the world. In fact, she counts her international public speaking profile as her most notable accomplishment and as the most ideal way to extend her reach. She is a member of the Fellowship of the American Congress of Obstetricians and of the Fellowship in Anti-Aging Regenerative Medicine. She was also proud to be named a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and as a North American Menopause Society Certified Menopause Practitioner, Dr. Scott works with patients to find solutions for advanced symptoms and hormonal disorders.
Dr. Scott credits Dr. Ken Speidel for helping her shift her professional and clinical concentration to hormones and women's health, and she was gratified to collaborate with him on crafting and then teaching a related course. Moreover, a personal interest in advancing the emotional and spiritual health of patients prompted her to earn both certified integrative medicine and certified functional medicine credentials from the American Academy of Anti-Aging Regenerative Functional Medicine. Looking to the future, Dr. Scott anticipates a slight transition from direct patient interaction to focus more on consultancy and teaching.
