Michael Covitt owned a seat on the American Stock Exchange, operating under the firm name of Covitt & Company. He served as Vice-President and a member of the Executive Committee of Abel, Gwirtzman, and Co., Inc., and as Vice-President of the Brokerage Division of Butler Capital Corporation, both members of the New York and American Stock Exchanges. Mr. Covitt was an Associate Member of the New York Stock Exchange, held a seat on the New York Futures Exchange (a subsidiary of the New York Stock Exchange), and served as a marketing consultant to the Futures Exchange.
Covitt was Chairman and CEO of Benchmark Recordings Inc. and Benchmark Entertainment Corporation. Earlier, he served as President of International Talent Consultants Corporation and was a Founder and Director of Hologram Records. He was the Executive Producer and largest stakeholder of Rock Wars Company, which produced "rock n' roll" concerts atop the heliport of The World Trade Center and in the Grand Canyon to further world peace. Rock Wars Company also published a book, distributed by Doubleday, detailing the events leading up to and including those crucial concerts.
