Since 2013, he has provided the high technology industry with strategic and tactical business development expertise assisting his clients to grow, compete and succeed in their industries. Previously, he worked as a director of business development for Unisys, Inc. and subsequently Hewlett Packard, Inc. During the earlier stages of his career Mr. Yurek honed his industry skills as a federal program manager for Unisys, Inc.
Mr. Yurek has held a lifelong passion for the oceans which led him to teaching scuba diving to beginners and scuba instructors alike for over 50 years. He was given the prestigious Scuba Schools International Platium Pro 5000 Award for completing over 5000 scuba dives. Outside of these activities Mr. Yurek has contributed to his community as a lifetime member of the American Legion. Before embarking on his professional journey, he earned a Bachelor of Science in information systems from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. Subsequently, Mr. Yurek received an MBA in industrial marketing from the prestigious George Washington University School of Business.
Though his career has been filled with standout moments, Mr. Yurek takes the most pride in mentoring others in his role as a director at Hewlett Packard. There he mentored many people who have gone on to become extremely successful in the field. While hard work and dedication have brought him far, he credits his success to tenacity, his value system, and his desire to discover solutions that benefit both the company for which he works and the customer. Looking toward the future, Mr. Yurek intends to continue his work at Yurek and Associates and then retire to travel the world and watch his family grow in their own professions.
