For more than 20 years, Mr. Turner has thrived as the stormwater operations chief for the mobility department of the city of Tampa, Florida. In this capacity, he specializes in overseeing the construction and maintenance of various forms of stormwater infrastructure including underground drainage systems, open roadway ditches, retention ponds, and canals. Mr. Turner also focuses on managing a team of more than 50 employees and maximizing the resources to keep the city of Tampa above water.
Prior to his appointment as the stormwater operations chief, Mr. Turner served as the city of Tampa's Transportation Operations Supervisor. Alongside his professional career, he currently excels as a youth mentor for Harram Temple No. 23, A.E.A.O.N.M.S., Inc. Prince Hall Shriners, Oasis of Tampa, Desert of Florida. Mr. Turner is also a member of the Most Worshipful Union Grand Lodge of Florida, Prince Hall Affiliated Masons. He currently serves as the Senior Warden in Phillip A. Robinson Lodge No. 327. In order to stay up to date with the latest developments in his field, Mr. Turner additionally maintains an active affiliation with the American Public Works Association.
