To prepare for her career in law, Ms. Drechsler received a Bachelor of Business Administration in legal studies with a minor in art history at the University of Miami in 2007. She subsequently earned a Juris Doctorate from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law with magna cum laude honors. In fact, her grades were so impressive that the dean of the law program offered her a full academic scholarship to complete her Master of Laws, which she accepted, graduating with magna cum laude honors for the second time from the same law school. While pursuing her law degrees, Ms. Drechsler completed several internships, clerked for several local law firms, and clerked for the San Diego Office of the Public Defender. In addition to her degrees, she has attained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and her Series 7 license, and she is a member in good standing with the California Bar Association.
Following law school, she started her legal career with the Law Offices of John M. Gustafson as an estate planning attorney from 2010 to 2015, with areas of specialty including tax management, business succession and charitable planning. Transitioning into wealth management, she then served as an advanced planning consultant at Commonwealth Financial Network from 2015 to 2019. In her work for Commonwealth, she held the role of subject matter expert for advisors in the areas of tax management and estate planning. By this point in her career, Ms. Drechsler had done a great deal of public speaking across the nation for Commonwealth, which bolstered her confidence in her ability to speak to others. She also served as a wealth planner and vice president at U.S. Bank between 2019 and 2021.
A respected attorney and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Ms. Drechsler has been affiliated with LourdMurray since 2021. Serving as a director of estate and tax solutions, she represents a dedicated group of clients in the arts, entertainment and sports industries, utilizing her years of legal expertise to guide client through the complex areas of tax planning, wealth management and charitable planning. In terms of her charitable involvements, Ms. Drechsler is a member of the board of trustees for the Balboa Art Conservation Center, a member of the Women's Leadership Network, and a member of the trust and estate council of the Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. Previously, Ms. Drechsler lent her time to various fundraising campaigns on behalf of the Veteran's Village of San Diego, and served as a lunch service volunteer for Serving Seniors, as a second-grade classroom reader for Words Alive, as a web content editor for HeadCount, and as a member of the gala planning committee for the Helen Woodward Animal Center.
As a testament to her hard work, Ms. Drechsler was recognized as a Woman of Distinction by San Diego Woman Magazine in 2020. She remains involved with her community through her public speaking work, her philanthropic outreach endeavors, and her numerous writing projects.
