Mr. Wainwright is a serial entrepreneur who has led a diverse career in various industries. In 2015, he entered the nonprofit sector when he launched It Takes A Village To Feed One Child (ITAVTFOC) Inc. as the founder and executive director. Once recognized as a multi-state nonprofit 501(c)(3) Child and Adult Care Food Program sponsoring organization, ITAVTFOC provides meals and snacks for child and adult care centers primarily in low income disadvantaged communities under a permanent contract with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Education, Food, and Nutrition in Pennsylvania. Within the past 5 years this organization has grown to provide close to 100,000 meals and snacks on a monthly basis, to multiple childcare centers, in several counties in PA.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Wainwright aims to continue expanding ITAVTFOC. He also plans to establish a culinary trade school for prison reform, returning veterans, at risk graduating high school students, individuals suffering from various mental health challenge, and those in income challenged, low employment communities. Also, a partnering organization, called National CACFP Minority Alliance, will be created in 2023 for minorities nationwide in the childcare and child and adult food program industries to help with on demand staffing, administration, funding resources, mental health support, racial inequality, and legal advocacy.
Having been in business for himself since 1990, Mr. Wainwright established Davenmark Inc. in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, a food service management company, servicing contracts in multiple states, in various sectors of the food service industry, as the founder and chief executive officer. He subsequently formed The Cleaning Chief LLC as the founder and chief executive. Also headquartered in Delaware County, his cleaning company acquired numerous commercial cleaning and janitorial contracting services with Fortune 500 companies throughout the tri-state area. Additionally, Mr. Wainwright formed Wainwright Real Estate Investments LLC in 2016 as the chief executive officer. The real estate investment group serves both commercial and residential clients and has vast expertise in real estate, law, investments, banking, insurance, construction, the rehabilitation of properties, and home remodeling.
Active civically, Mr. Wainwright is an executive leadership member of the African American Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the NAACP. He has also been serving as an executive board director for Soldier of Love Foundation Inc. since 2015, an organization that advocates for prompt public policy, raises awareness, and provides prevention and intervention strategies for those suffering from domestic violence and sexual abuse. Additionally, Mr. Wainwright previously served as an executive board director for EVP Community Alliance, an organization providing various financial services and financial literacy to individuals, children, families, senior citizens, and business professionals. Among other civic contributions, Mr. Wainwright has served as a small business mentor and volunteer on behalf of the SCORE Association and has donated and volunteered his time to The Salvation Army.
While in high school, Mr. Wainwright served in the JROTC leadership as a Captain in his senior year. Years later, he pursued additional education. He earned a bachelor's degree in finance, summa cum laude, at Strayer University in 2009 and a Master of Arts in Christian leadership studies at Liberty University in 2012. Additional educational pursuits to Mr. Wainwright's credit include credentials as a ServSafe instructor and proctor, a licensed life, health, and fixed annuities professional, and a licensed real estate agent. He formerly held his Series 6 and Series 63 investment licenses.
Mr. Wainwright notably spent years in banking, finance, and real estate, earning numerous awards and recognitions for his contributions. Among these accolades, he received several Career Life Producer and Sales Producer Awards from New York Life Insurance Company and Diamond Society Award from Coldwell Banker Preferred. Mr. Wainwright will also create a Podcast in 2023 called The Entrepreneur Bag, offering valuable insight and strategies for aspiring entrepreneurs, interviewing successful businesses, and publishing his first book chronicling his own experiences and journey as a Minority Entrepreneur over the past 30 years.
