After a decade in special education teaching deaf and hard of hearing individuals, Ms. White transitioned into real estate in 1983. Over the next few decades, she represented Hodge Realty in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and L.K. White Realty in Hot Springs. Having found great success in the industry, Ms. White was a top-producing agent who always focused on putting her clients first.
During her teaching career, Ms. White was instrumental in working with the hard of hearing and the handicapped. Among her many contributions, she was asked to set up the first program for mentally disturbed and disabled children. Ms. White notably began teaching in 1974 as a secondary deaf teacher at Fayetteville Public School in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and subsequently became a deaf-blind teacher for the Southeast Metropolitan Cooperative Organization in Cherry Creek County, Colorado, between 1975 and 1976. Returning to public school education, Ms. White was hired as a hearing-impaired instructor at Hot Springs Public School in 1976 and as a preschool multi-handicapped teacher at Jenkins Special Education School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, in 1977. She also briefly taught as an adult deaf instructor and served as a counselor at the Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center from 1978 to 1981 before returning to Hot Springs Public School as a deaf educator between 1981 and 1983.

She has served as a national officer and Corresponding Secretary General for the National Society of Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. She is also a member and former Awards Chair of the National Society United States Daughters of 1812, a member and former National Director and President of Diamond Colony of Arkansas colony of the National Society of New England Women, a member and former Councillor of the National Society Daughters of Founders & Patriots of America, a member and former Governor of the Arkansas Society of Mayflower Descendants and National Deputy Governor General, and a member and former state Recording Secretary of the Arkansas State Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Additionally, Ms. White is a member and past president of the 9 Hole WGA at the Hot Springs Country Club and a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem and has served as a cubmaster for the Boy Scouts of America and obtained the Wood Badge award. Looking toward the future, Ms. White aspires to continue lending her time working with heritage groups. She also hopes to continue mentoring and influencing Catholic youth.
Highly educated, Ms. White received a Bachelor of Education in special education in 1974, Summa Cum Laude and a Master of Education in elementary counseling in 1975 also Summa Cum Laude at the University of Arkansas. She also completed postgraduate coursework at Henderson State University in 1997. Ms. White remains a member and past State President for 25 years of Kappa Alpha Theta.
In light of her professional and civic achievements and contributions, Ms. White was named a Lifetime Million Dollar Seller by the Arkansas Realtor Association in Little Rock and a two-time Outstanding Teacher of the Year by the Hot Springs School District. Furthermore, she was recognized as a Volunteer of the Year for her work at the Lutheran High School.
