She has served in global leadership roles in corporate affairs, sustainability, ESG, corporate communications and crisis management for such companies as Upfield, Bayer, and Mars. Dr. Fielding also spent nine years at Pfizer, overseeing public affairs and policy for emerging markets and the Asia Pacific region. During the early stages of her career, Dr. Fielding also gained valuable expertise in innovations, health policy, nutrition, food science and more through varying roles with Pfizer and CSIRO.
Dr. Fielding has also held executive positions in several industry organizations, including serving as founder and a board member of the European Alliance of Plant-based Foods, committee member of the International Self Care Federation, founder and president of the Asia Pacific Infant and Young Child Nutrition Association and technical chair of the Infant Formula Nutrition Council in Australia and New Zealand. She also served on committees for the International Life Sciences Institute – South East Asia and the Australian Food and Grocery Council.
Outside of her work, Dr. Fielding supports APCO Worldwide, where she sits on the international advisory committee. An expert in her field, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology from Deakin University. Subsequently, she received a Master of Human Nutrition in Food Science and Nutrition from her alma mater, a PhD in Nutrition and Food Science from RMIT University, and a graduate business management diploma from UNSW business school. Additionally, Dr. Fielding completed the Women on Boards building exceptional leaders management program through Wharton Executive Education.
In light of her professional achievements, Dr. Fielding received a number of scholarships and PR Week Awards, and an Australian Industry Award. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes recent pride in leading the plant-based food industry to overcome some negative legislation in Europe. The cornerstone of her success lay in having trail-blazing change-making mentors who have considerably influenced her, including her first general manager at Wyeth (now Pfizer) Australia. In the coming years, Dr. Fielding intends to expand her company, positively impact society, mentor female leaders, and help innovative companies thrive.
