Shyla Enoul Recognized for Excellence as a Restaurateur

Restaurateur Shyla Enoul has spent more than 25 years in the industry, having owned and operated 12 different restaurants in the United States, from Washington DC to Georgia. In 2020, Ms. Enoul established her newest eatery, Lobster Banh Mi, a French/Vietnamese sandwich shop in Duluth, Georgia. It is best known for its signature sandwich that boasts a combination of fresh premium lobster, chopped cilantro, sweet and tangy marinated carrots, cucumbers, spicy jalapeños, and mayonnaise, served on a fresh baguette. Additionally, the restaurant offers 11 other uniquely delectable sandwiches on its menu.

On October 26, 1964, in South Vietnam, Shyla Enoul was born to Thuy Nguyen, her mother, who was a teacher and Qui Ho, her father, a teacher and Army officer, as their second child. At birth, her name was Linh Ho Nguyen. Until 2010, after earning her doctorate in metaphysical sciences, she changed her name to Shyla Enoul, and she has been proud to be called by this spiritual name since then. She has two siblings: her older sister Tu Ho Nguyen, born in 1963, and younger sister Huong Ho Nguyen, born in 1967. At 5 years old, she attended Aurore Catholic Elementary School in Saigon, where she learned how to bake bread from her teachers, the Catholic nuns. Luckily, she took the recipe with her for many decades. Today, she uses it to make her delicious sandwiches.

Ms. Enoul relocated to the U.S. in 1987 and got married in 1992 to Mr. Tuan Pham, her schoolmate at George Mason University. They both have two beautiful daughters, Anh Pham (1995) and Tien Pham (1997). After nine years of marriage, Ms. Enoul divorced her husband. She then gave birth to her handsome son, Nicholas Enoul, using in vitro fertilization (2002). Since then, Ms. Enoul has become a single mother, raising and home-schooling her three children, and starting business after business. Ms. Enoul created her own teaching program in both education and finance so that her two daughters, Anh and Tien, before reaching 20 years old, could graduate college with distinction, and could own their real estate properties at the same time. She is also proud that her son has been following his sisters' path in real estate investment. He is currently pursuing a degree in aviation, and is soon to be a pilot.

Ms. Enoul established her first restaurant, Vietnam 75, in 1995, which also served various traditional Vietnamese dishes. She then opened multiple restaurants. Today, looking forward to the continued growth of Lobster Banh Mi, she aspires to expand the scope of her operations and foster a global chain. She is in the process of opening a 13th establishment in Brookhaven, Georgia.

Utilizing her years of education for her work today, Ms. Enoul earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia in 1992 and became a certified public accountant in Virginia in 1995. She later attained a reverend practitioner certificate from the Wisdom of the Heart Church in 2009 and a Doctor of Philosophy in metaphysical theology from the University of Metaphysical Sciences in 2010, both in Arcata, California. With her passion of learning, she is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in international political relations from the Queen Mary University of London and a Master of Science in leadership from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, same school with her son.

Alongside her primary responsibilities, Ms. Enoul has offered her expertise as a consultant and been active with Saigon Deli in Georgia to create new dishes. She is currently preparing for her new food lines to become established, including Buffalo Pho, Lobster Fried Rice, and Flan Coeur Doré for dessert dishes. Aside from her experience as a restaurateur, Ms. Enoul has also served as a real estate investor and advisor with USA Castle Realty in Georgia.

Finding success in her food-related endeavors, Ms. Enoul was featured in an article in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in August 2021, which highlighted her achievements as a restaurant owner. In addition, she has been named to Best of Hall County, Georgia and Best of Atlanta by Atlanta Magazine between 2020 and 2022. Ms. Enoul attributes her success in the industry to a combination of small achievements that grew over time. She also credits the mentors she has had along the way, including Tony Robbins and Jim Rohn, who she notes gave her the courage and positivity needed to take on any situation. With such guidance, she has learned to value any opportunity that life brings her, whether good or bad.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Enoul aims to learn more about metaphysical science because she believes that to continue making her customers happy, she must be able to fulfill all three parts of the body: mind, body and spirit. She believes that through her Asian culture and her passion for cooking, she can achieve all three.
