ROCHESTER, MI, March 24, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- M. Shahrooz Amin has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Leveraging more than a decade of excellence in electrical engineering and optical systems engineering, Mr. Amin has earned distinction as a researcher and engineer for the United States Government. Since 2009, he has focused his efforts on designing and implementing various optical sensor systems towards sensing applications relevant to the government. Some of the designs went from the laboratory all the way to being deployed in actual fields throughout the USA and abroad. He has served as the principal investigator on numerous projects developing optical sensors for various applications. He has also developed and implemented mathematical algorithms to be used in such sensors for quantification purposes. The methods have also been adopted by agencies throughout the government.
Mr. Amin also worked in the Spectroscopy laboratory in MIT where he developed and implemented an optical method of quantifying the viscoelastic behavior of red blood cells (RBCs). That method could probe large number of cells simultaneously. This method was used to extract the frequency dependence of the viscoelastic modulus of RBC membranes. He was also the head teaching assistant for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's department of electrical engineering and computer science teaching electromagnetics to undergraduates in the year 2006.
Over the course of his career, he has also been a contributor to several articles to professional peer-reviewed journals and more than 10 conference publications. Additionally, he is a distinguished patentee in his field. Among his professional accomplishments, he was honored with an Award for Outstanding Performance in ARCADIS, Inc.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Amin earned Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His ultimate goal for his career to is to leave the world better than he found it. He has his own proverb also which is, "Assumption is the key to all practical major failures in life." Last but not least, he owes his love for education and his upbringing to his elder brother, Dr. Shahrier Amin, a medical doctor at West Virginia University.
